About Improv Charlotte

Established in 2006, Improv Charlotte has always had a passion for providing family-friendly comedy that doesn’t suck.

Bring your friends, family, coworkers, or pretty much anyone who needs a good laugh and enjoy a night of completely unscripted comedy. Every show is made up on the spot, inspired by audience suggestions and the imagination of our performers.

Every show has never been done before. And it never will be again.

No scripts. No rehearsals. No idea what’s coming next.

Just a great night of laughter, shared with the people you came with—and a room full of people you didn’t.

Our mission is simple: serve the Charlotte community through comedy.

Since 2006, Improv Charlotte has donated 100% of the profits from our monthly shows directly to local nonprofit partners, helping turn nights of laughter into meaningful support for organizations doing great work in our community.

Together, we’ve raised more than $60,000 for local nonprofits—and we’re just getting started.

Catch Improv Charlotte the first Friday of every month at Free Range Brewing in NoDa for a night of completely unscripted comedy, good drinks, and plenty of surprises.

You’ll also find us out and about at local comedy festivals, including Queen City Comedy’s Royal Improv Festival, and other events around the Charlotte area.
